  • All signers must be present in person Every signer must have proper photo identification
  • Must be completely able to understand the significance of the document
  • and Must sign of their own free will ​Document must be completely filled in
  • no blank spaces (except client signature & notarization section)
  • By law CA notaries cannot give legal advice - please be sure to speak with your attorney or other advisor and get answers to any questions you may have BEFORE you meet me for the signing!

Acceptable

Photo IDs
  • Photo identification must be valid (not expired and not temporary) and can include:
  • 1. CA driver's license or non-driver ID (such as Senior ID) from CA Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) US passport
  • ​ ​2. Additional forms of ID can be accepted if they are valid (not expired and not temporary) AND contain photo signature serial number and physical description
  • including:
  • ​- Driver's license or non-driver ID from another US state
  • - Driver's license issued by Mexico or Canada
  • - Valid passport or consular identifiication from signer's country of citizenship
  • -Employee ID card from any state or county or city agency or office in CA
  • -US military ID that contains all the required elements (e.g. not the CAC)
  • -ID card issued by a federally recognized tribal government
